On September 9th, 2025, Apple announced several new iPhone models that will soon be in the hands of some CandidPro patients.
Unfortunately, the new iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are not compatible with our ScanBox Pros due to the new camera and lighting layout. The standard iPhone 17 is not impacted.
We are currently working on an adapter with an integrated LED light for the ScanBox Pro. This adapter will serve as the lighting source for scans instead of your patients’ smartphone light. The adapter should be ready later this year.
In the meantime, your patients with impacted iPhone 17 models will need to use a Classic ScanBox to accommodate their camera layout. To help address this and ensure minimal disruption to at-home monitoring, we are offering Classic ScanBoxes for $0.
If you have patients currently in treatment or about to begin who have the affected iPhone 17 models, please contact CandidPro Support to request a free Classic ScanBox on their behalf. Our team will ensure it’s shipped to your practice or directly to the patient at no cost.

**Please note that Classic ScanBox quantities are limited, so we ask that you only request them for patients who are actually affected by the compatibility issue.

We also encourage you to be proactive with new and current patients to ensure that their experience with the ProMonitoring app is as efficient as possible.
We encourage your team to take the following actions:
- Ask patients if they have or are ordering an iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone 17 Pro Max at treatment acceptance
- Inform current patients with impacted phone models that an adapter for their new phone will be available before the end of the year
- Advise existing patients using an impacted iPhone 17 model that they need to use a Classic ScanBox
We appreciate your patience as we navigate these compatibility issues. We understand that many of your patients are eager to upgrade to the latest iPhone. We will roll out a permanent fix as soon as possible and will continue to update your team over the coming weeks.
